Join us for an exciting, family-friendly celebration of nature, sustainability, and community on the beautiful Ministers Island! EARTHFest brings together immersive activities, nature walks, music, art, and interactive fun for all ages. Enjoy the grounds and beautiful coast trails!

EARTHFEST SCHEDULE
2:30 PM – Ministers Island Opens for the Day
Explore a variety of educational and hands-on experiences with local environmental groups, artists, and nature guides.
3:00 PM – Forest Bathing
Reconnect with nature and find inner calm in a guided forest bathing session that uses mindfulness and the natural setting of the island to soothe the mind and body. Led by Todd Ross.
3:30 PM – Official Opening Ceremony
Location: Ministers Island Tent
Kick off EARTHfest with opening remarks, special guests including a Celebrating Mother Earth Ceremony, and a celebration of our collective commitment to the planet.
4:30 PM – Drumming Circle
Location: Bath House
Experience the power of community and healing through rhythm. This inclusive drum circle, led by a trained professional, welcomes all skill levels and features instruments from around the world. A joyful, therapeutic event for all ages!

5:00 PM – Mushroom Nature Walk & Talk
Join Jessika Gauvin of Enchanted Mushroom Forest Walks for a guided hike through the island landscape. Discover the hidden world of fungi and learn how mushrooms contribute to a healthy ecosystem.
All-Afternoon Activities (2:30 PM – 6:00 PM)
Benefits of Beekeeping
Learn the fundamentals of beekeeping from Essie Lom and explore the vital role bees play in pollination and biodiversity. Discover hive structures, the roles of queen, worker, and drone bees, and the basics of managing a colony.

Interactive Art Activities
Presented by the Saint Croix Green Party of NB Association
Hands-on nature-themed art activities for children to explore their creativity and environmental awareness.
Fish Run Obstacle Course & Kids’ Interactive Games
Presented by the Conservation Council of New Brunswick

Scavenger Hunt
From Nature’s Backpack
Encouraging outdoor exploration through a land-based learning scavenger hunt led by Rhonda Sage-Buffitt. Children will develop their curiosity and environmental stewardship in this fun and educational experience.
